Prayers are Always Answered - Sooner or Later

Prayers are Answered Sooner or Later Laura Lea Nielson Allred In February 2013, I came up with the idea to do a surprise 70th birthday party for my dad because he had never had one before. I talked to Roger about it and he was all for it, but when I talked to my mom, she said, “You don’t do a party for the 70th. You do it at 80 or older.” I said, “Okay, we won’t do it.” But the thought wouldn’t go away. One day while I was driving out to Roger’s house, a thought came into my mind. The thought was “If you’re going to do a birthday party then you need to do it now. He might not be here at 80. When I got to Roger’s house, I told him my thought and I called my mom and told her. She said, “Then you better do it.” My dad passed away at 75 years old – Five years later.
While planning the party, another idea came to mind. I thought that it would be really special if I could find my Indian brother and sister: Everett and Helena. I told Mom. She was all for it. I hunted on line (I couldn’t believe how many Everett Lees there were!) I prayed that I would be able to find them. I finally found a name that looked to be the right one. Every time I talked to my mom she would ask me if I had heard anything. I would say, ”No.” I was feeling discouraged. On the day before the party I was making food and decorating cakes. I talked to my mom again and the answer was, “No News.” I had just hung up when my phone rang again. It was Everett! The day of the party went well. Everett was excited. He called during the party to see how things were going. After the party, we went back to mom and dad’s. I handed dad a piece of paper with a phone number on it and my cell phone and I told Dad to call the number and talk to who answers. (He looked at me like I was crazy). Mom and Dad were so excited!
I totally believe that prayers are answered sooner or later.
