Memories from Uncle Glen Shared February 14, 2020

 Happy Valentines Day!

I have been so touched by the beautiful stories that I have received and continue to receive.

The book is coming together beautifully and I hope you are catching the vision as it is evolving.

I truly feel it is important to have every one of our family members included.  I have read some of the most tender stories, just hung up with Uncle Glen as he shared memories that we both realized he is probably the only person alive who knows them.

Here's a couple from Uncle Glen:

When Dad died, we were too poor to have nice clothes for the funeral.  One of Mom's cousins owned the cleaners in Marysvale.  We kids were outfitted with clothes that fit so well you would have thought they were ours.  I'm not sure that the actual owners of the clothes, in particular, the suits that Mave and I had on, knew of their generosity in sharing their clothing with us.  They may have never known that they "loaned" their clothes to us for Dad's funeral as they were returned the next day, cleaned and ready to be returned to their owners.  I was touched that our relatives took care of us in our time of need.

Uncle Glen and I talked about his experience with his 4 wheeler and help from an unseen force.  He then said, he believes angels are all around us.  He then told me about a time when "a friend" (he dared not reveal who) invited him for coffee.  He didn't drink coffee, but he and Don sat down at the table for some juice.  He said that the house was a bit messy and the table had Cheerios scattered on the top of it.  He gathered them up in his hand.  He thought about throwing them in the garbage, but it was overflowing so instead, he tossed them under the table.

Later, when he got home he found a bunch of Cheerios under his table.  And the thing was, they never ate Cheerios or had Cheerios in the house.

I remember visiting their house growing up and it was always spotless... and I remember having Cheerios on a regular basis at my house growing up and the table often in need of a good cleaning...

Uncle Glen felt a bit reprimanded by some unseen angel.

If you haven't already, please send in at least one story of faith.  I plan to keep sending a story a week until we get it printed.  If a thought pops in your head about a story that would be uplifting, please send it.
